A team of hard-working volunteers have rallied together to spruce up Bradwell-on-Sea.

Twenty-three Coastal Wardens volunteers collected washed-up rubbish from the beach and also recorded litter from a 100 metre stretch.

They amassed 25 bags of rubbish in the litter pick on November 6 and found a few surprises on the way, including a discarded fishing net.

The data will be passed to the Marine Conservation Society as part of their ‘Beachwatch’ programme to help identify the main sources of litter found on UK beaches.
