Essex: Man dies after road sweeper collision
A man has died following a crash on Bromley Road, Colchester around 1.35pm yesterday.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
A black Citroen Saxo was in collision with a council road sweeper travelling in the opposite direction.
The passenger in the car, an 18 year old local man died at the scene.
The driver, also aged 18 from Colchester, was taken to hospital with facial and other serious injuries and has been detained for treatment.
The driver and passenger in the road sweeper lorry were uninjured.
Police want to hear from any witnesses to the crash, or anyone who saw the car in the moments prior to the collision.
