Rural residents are urged to show support for super fast broadband in their area.
Essex County Council wants to demonstrate high demand for the service as it tries to find a contractor to develop web access in more remote areas.
The more people who register in an area the better chance there is broadband there will be upgraded.
Currently there are around 180,000 households, or 30 per cent, in the county which do not receive super fast broadband services of at least 24mbs. The authority’s aim is to enable 90 per cent of the county to be able to receive super fast broadband by 2015.
To register your interest visit essex.gov.uk/ruralbroadband. If you are unable to access the internet visit local libraries to use the computers for free.
