Heybridge: Business nominated for national award
An ambitious business in Heybridge has been nominated for a national award.
Blackman and White, based on The Street Industrial Estate, has been nominated in the innovation and design category at the UK Manufacturer of the Year Awards.
The family company, which was founded by Les White in 1964 and designs and manufactures cutting machinery, has already received international recognition this year after one of its products picked up an award at the 2012 SGIA Expo awards in Las Vegas.
The award winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel in London on November 21.
