Extra police resources are being drafted in to help deal with problem youths in Tiptree.
Residents are angry about the rise in anti-social behaviour in the village after polciing was cut and problems increased.
In response Essex Police has launched Operation Burnish to improve things.
Acting Chief Insp Jim White said: “We had a lot of cover in Tiptree for Halloween and will again for Bonfire night.
“We have had problems and have been given funding for additional officers in Tiptree at these times.”
Three cars were vandalised over two consecutive nights on Thursday, October 25, and Friday, October 26, with long scratches along the sides of cars parked in Warren Lingley Way.
