Maldon: Resident fails in bid to detain thieves
Two men were thwarted in their attempt to break into a car in Maldon.
Police said a witness spotted two men trying to get into a Fiat Punto in Wantz Chase at about 10pm on October 29 and attempted to detain them.
The men, described as in their early 20s and wearing hoodies, threatened violence before running off.
Witnesses are urged to call police on 101.
