A fed-up homeowner is planning to sell up after being driven to breaking point by “disgusting” antisocial behaviour.

William Martin said a bench and small public garden alongside his home in Butt Lane, Maldon, were being used as a meeting place for drug dealers, toilet for drunks and dogs, and general dumping ground.

He also claimed £2,500 of damage had been caused to his car by vandals.

“I’ve caught various youngsters smoking pot, people urinating against my fence and dog owners seem to think it’s a given right for their dogs to go in there and do their business,” he said.

Having been unhappy with the response of the police and Maldon Town Council’s environment committee, Mr Martin, 50, is now planning to put up one last fight and lobby Maldon MP John Whittingdale.

Good luck with your approach to your MP... Tell him you've been on to the press because you have spotted Nadine Dorries in the bushes...that might stir him into action...
