Maldon district: Car owners warned after spate of sat nav thefts
Police are warning people not to leave valuables in their cars after a string of sat nav thefts.
Sat navs were taken from cars in Coleridge Road, Maldon, on October 15, Kings Road, Southminster, on October 18 and Park Road, Burnham, on October 19.
Sgt Martin White, who started at Maldon police station last week, said: “One of the big issues that we have that’s a recurring theme are thefts from motor vehicles, particularly sat navs.
“It’s not rife but we do get sat navs stolen on a fairly regular basis.”
