Southminster: Man wielding axe attacks butcher's shop Southminster: Man wielding axe attacks butcher's shop

A man wielding an axe has smashed a butchers shop in Southminster in the middle of the night.

The man, believed to be masked, shattered the windows of the R W Nye shop in North Street at around 4am on Friday before lunging the pickaxe into the front door.

CCTV cameras from nearby Church View Vetinary Clinic captured the man climbing over the wall of Saint Leonard’s Church in Station Road and walking past their shop.
