Owl do you do?

OWLS visited Manningtree High School to help pupils understand science.

The birds took part in a science lesson at the Colchester Road school as part of National Science Week.

Phil Ecket, from educational company Owl Wise, brought along the birds of prey to teach children more about their environment.

John Knights, head of science, said: “We have been watching chicken eggs develop and hatch so we had the owls in to show the development process.”

There were five different breeds of owls, including a barn owl, an Australian owl and an eagle owl.
