Local artists’ works will be on display at Chelmsford museum as part of the Chelmsford Art Society’s Winter Exhibition.

Visitors will have the chance to discover and buy original art by the city’s most-talented local artists from December 9 to January 14.

The Chelmsford Art Society was established over 50 years ago and currently has more than 100 members.

The society will be showcasing 100 works of art that utilise acrylics, water colours, pastels, screen printing and oils, by both professional artists and skilled amateurs.

The displayed art work will be for sale and the exhibition is a fantastic opportunity to buy original pieces of art for affordable prices.

Assistant manager at the museum Dr Mark Curteis said: “We are excited about the exhibition, we know Chelmsford has a lot of artistic talent out there and the gallery walls are a wonderful space for their work to be presented.

“This exhibition is a terrific way for local artists to have their artwork displayed and for Chelmsford to recognise their talent. We are really looking forward to seeing a wide variety of art from the city’s creative community.”
