Man arrested following spate of burlaries including two aggravated burglaries
POLICE have arrested a man following a spate of burlaries in Colchester.
A 29-year-old man from Colchester has been arrested on suspicion of burglary offences which include two aggravated burlaries on July 10 and August 14.
On July 10, a woman was tied up and threatened with a knife in her own home in Avon Way, Colchester, while a debit card was stolen and a large amount of cash was withdrawn.
A similar incident took place on August 14, in Acacia Avenue, Colchester, when a woman was tied up in her home while a burglar stole her mobile phone.
The arrested man remains in police custody for questioning.
