Sandford Mill will be opening its doors for a fun day out for families at its Science Discovery Day: The Great Outdoors on Sunday July 9.
The museum will hold the event from 10am to 4pm.
The event promises to be the ideal opportunity for those with a love of nature and a sense of adventure.
Entertainment on the day includes a cruise onboard the Blackwater Dawn Barge.
The price for the cruise is £6 for adults, £4 for youngsters aged five to 15 years old, and free for under-fives.

Entrance to the museum is £3 for adults and children, free for babies and £10 for a family ticket.
Tasty treats will be available during the day, provided by the Friends of Chelmsford Museum.
