IT'S not all about the food, or the drink, at this year's Colchester Food and Drink Festival.

As well as the dozens of stalls, demonstrations and local produce on offer, there's also a bit of local music to enjoy.

Taking place on a special Music Stage over both days, acts playing include Cakestupid and Park n Ride as well as the Rony Rosado Band, who many will remember from their brilliant appearance on Britain's Got Talent.

The full running order will be:

Saturday June 24 from Noon, Rowan Reynolds-Wright, 12.35pm Vicky Eldon, 1.15pm Emma Dean, 2pm Matt Buckle, 3pm Rony Rosado Band and at 4pm Adam Ferretti.

While on the Sunday, again from Noon, it's Fraser Morgan, then at 1pm Park and Ride, 2pm Cakestupid and rounding off the weekend at 3pm Band of Fools.

There's also a bit of world culture on offer this year thanks to the Mercury Theatre who will be hosting a celebration of diverse arts and culture as part of the festival. Activities will include drop-in Bollywood dance workshops, African drumming sessions, and the chance to try your hand at Chinese calligraphy. The event will also feature performances from Indian percussionist, KV Balu, and Linos Wengara, who will be playing the Zimbabwean thumb piano, and contributions from local cultural societies such as African Families in the UK, Colchester Nepalese Society and Colchester Chinese School.
