Budding entrepreneurs can get free advice on setting up their own business, selling overseas or launching a new product at an event this week.

The Best Essex Business Show takes at Hylands House, Chelmsford, on Wednesday from 10am to 3pm.

Organised by Government-funded Business Essex, Southend and Thurrock (Best) Growth Hub, the event will see more than 50 organisations exhibiting – from public sector innovation organisations to employment and skills providers and the Department of International Trade – offering wide-ranging, free advice tailored to individual Essex businesses’ needs.

Taking business ambitions a step further, the show also offers a unique platform to entrepreneurs wanting to network as well as easily access specialist professional advice. Visitors will be offered the opportunity to drop-in to the event’s ‘Expert Advice Surgeries’ one-to-one sessions, or can book in advance now, to ask about everything from exporting abroad to digital marketing/social media to financing.

Best Growth Hub team leader Georgia Searle explains: “This show is for anyone in Essex thinking of becoming an entrepreneur or already trading. It is the first show of its kind in Essex. BEST and its exhibitors are looking forward to discussing business with visitors, encouraging them to network, and to sharing plans for business support services in the New Year. For us that includes details of our free initiatives such as pop-up cafes and business support training workshop.”
