AN ELDERLY man has suffered a broken leg after a road collision in Chelmsford city centre.
The pedestrian was injured after the collision in Victoria Road this morning.
Ambulance crews were called to the scene at 6.45am.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Within four minutes clinicians were on scene to provide the man, believed to be in his seventies, with expert care for a suspected broken leg.
"After receiving treatment the man was taken to Broomfield Hospital for further care in a stable condition."
