A SHOPPING centre held an interactive fashion event inspired by a music film.

High Chelmer Shopping Centre, Chelmsford held the event which was all themed around the popular film, Pitch Perfect.

There were a range of free activities, on Saturday October 1, giving visitors to the centre a chance to join in, watch and engage with the trends for Autumn and Winter 2016, all whilst enjoying the best bits of Pitch Perfect, a film made famous for putting an acapella spin on iconic songs.

A singing flash mob were on hand performing various songs from the film at surprise intervals throughout the day with shoppers encouraged to sing along to their favourites.

There was also a roaming fashion show, giving shoppers a chance to see style highlights and trends from the upcoming season with all clothing on show available to purchase from retailers in the centre.

Carley Beck, deputy centre manager said: “We’ve all seen the catwalk fashion shows and events so we wanted to give our shoppers an alternative way to see the clothes and styles away from the norm.

“Pitch Perfect is such a popular film with a real range of age groups and the characters all had their own unique fashion and singing style in the film.

"Along with the songs that they sing we felt the combination would be a perfect match.”
