CAREGIVERS got their clothes dirty for a mud run in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Senior manager at Cheeky Monkeys Day Nursery, Tracy Hughes, led a team of staff at the Ipswich Pretty Muddy Race for Life.

Carrie Ovens, 32, Dionne Webb, 26, Lauren Taylor, 22, and Morgan Hughes, 17, also battled through a 5k obstacle race and raised £1,000 from donations and sponsorship.

The event was the last of a week-long series of activities which included a cake sale, raffle, and ‘Wear something Pink’ day for staff and infants.

Mrs Hughes said she is proud of the team and is still on a high from reaching their cash target.

“All of us had a great day, the obstacle course gave everyone such a buzz and we’re just happy to have reached our fundraising goal.”

“The money is still coming in so we’d like to thank everyone who has supported us.”
