A SUPERHERO swung into help youngsters hone their questioning skills.
The Early Years class at Cherry Tree Primary School in Colchester were visited by Spiderman and were able to quiz him on all sorts of topics.
The visit was part of a range of lessons youngsters have been taking part in including science experiments to help their heroes escape from blocks of ice, physical challenges and learning Makaton signs.
Early years leader Mary Wicks said: “Communication, language and literacy is one of the prime areas of learning for early years.
“The children have really enjoyed the superhero theme which covers several areas of the new curriculum including maths, developing questioning skills and knowledge and understanding of the world.”
The webslinger’s true identity was learning support assistant Adam Williams who is training to become a teacher.
Headteacher Louise Venables said: “The children were so excited to be able to hot seat Spiderman.
“Mr Williams was very authentic and engaged the children completely.”
