A Chelmsford author has published a new book about life in the city during the First World War.
Jonathan Swan's book, Chelmsford in the Great War, reveals what life was like for the people who were left behind when almost two thousand Chelmsford men left to serve in the armed forces.
Jonathan Swan is a local historian and former soldier with interests in the First World War and military medicine.
