TEACHERS will go on strike again after crisis talks failed to put an end to a dispute over management practices.
Members of the National Association of Schoolmasters/ Union of Women Teachers will walk out of Harwich and Dovercourt High School today, today and Thursday.
Last week, two days of industrial action were suspended as it was believed a resolution was close, but the strike is back on.
Chris Keates, general secretary, said: “We believed some progress was being made to resolve the dispute and avoid further strikes. However, documents have been circulated by the school which do not reflect the agreement we considered had been reached.”
On January 15, about 30 members went on strike.
Members of the National Union of Teachers had planned to hold industrial action on the same days, but general secretary Jerry Glazier said they would not be striking this week.
No one from the school was available to comment.
