A BUSINESS group will launch a legal challenge against plans to build the town’s ninth Tesco.
The supermarket giant has been accused of being “sneaky” in how it was allowed to open its latest shop, in Prettygate.
Tesco was not mentioned in any planning documents relating to the proposed development, in Cotman Avenue and Ron Levy, chairman of the Colchester Retail Business Association, has launched an attack on the supermarket.
He said: “It is a case of them withholding important information which would have had a bearing on the ultimate decision.
