South Woodham Ferrers: Missing 12-year-old girl found safe and well
A 12-year-old girl who went missing from her home in South Woodham Ferrers yesterday afternoon has been found safe and well.
Ellie Tennant, who was last spotted at around 4.30pm yesterday, was found in Southend by social services officers at 4pm today.
She is believed to have boarded a train from South Woodham Ferrers to Southend with a middle-aged woman with a white Staffordshire dog yesterday afternnon.
A police spokesman said she is believed to have been with people known to her in the Southend area.
Her family are delighted that she has been found and thank people who have been helping raise awareness over social media.
Ellie will now be escorted back home by police.
