Burnham: Alfie is our "miracle" baby
A grateful Burnham family have paid tribute to hospital staff as a “miracle” premature baby continues his remarkable recovery.
Tiny Alfie Murray was born three months early at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, weighing just three pounds.
Alfie, who was suffering from chronic lung disease, a hole in his heart and jaundice, spent 50 days on breathing support in the neonatal unit and a further ten elsewhere in the hospital before going home.
