North Fambridge: Thieves take car keys from house and abandon stolen vehicle in Althorne
Police are appealing for information after burglars broke into a house to steal the keys to a car parked on the driveway.
Officers said the home in Franklin Road was entered between 7.30am and 1pm on Thursday, with keys taken and used to drive away a green Volkswagen Golf.
The car was later found abandoned at Althorne railway station at 5.30pm. It is believed the Golf was involved in a minor collision at the station and the people inside then got in to another vehicle.
