A Maldon singer has found fame by performing alongside star Ellie Goulding on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.
Jon Rattenbury, who was brought up in Dorset Road, was picked to sing with the award-winning singer-songwriter on Tuesday last week.
The 27-year-old sang the backing vocals with six others as Ellie sang her new single Anything Could Happen and her cover of Fun’s Some Nights.
The former Plume School student said: “It was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed myself.
“I wouldn’t have recognised Ellie Goulding if I had walked past her in the street, she was just so normal and down-to-earth."
