A Maldon charity shop is expecting quite a cue after being donated signed memorabilia by snooker star Ronnie ‘The Rocket’ O’Sullivan.

The four-time world champion, widely regarded as the most naturally-gifted player of all time, handed over a photograph, cue and a copy of his autobiography to the Cancer Research shop in High Street on Friday afternoon.

Staff at the shop are hoping to raffle off the donations and raise about £200 to put towards a new campaign, Stand Up To Cancer, which is being spearheaded by Cancer Research UK and Channel 4.
