Maldon district: Have you grown a whopper pumpkin?
Have you grown a prize-winning pumpkin?
Maldon and Heybridge Horticultural Society is on the look out for the largest home-grown pumpkin from across the district.
The competition will be held in the URC Hall, Market Hill, at 7.45pm on October 9, where all entries will be weighed.
The nearest to 10lb is the winner.
There is no entry form to fill in and you do not need to be a society member.
The society will award pumpkin trophy to the winner.
The Standard would also like to hear from anyone who has grown an exceptionally large pumpkin.
