Detectives have launched a murder enquiry after a man was found dead in the back garden of a Chelmsford home.

Police were called to the house on the A414, London Road, by the ambulance service in the early hours of this morning, shortly after midnight.

The house where the 39-year-old was discovered is said to be opposite Hylands Park, which is currently staging the popular music festival, V Festival.

Anyone with any information is asked to urgently contact Essex Police on 101 and leave their contact details.
