A couple on holiday saved the life of a 12-year-old boy who had suffered serious injuries when hit by a boat’s propeller.


Lawrence Harridge was enjoying a summer break in Spain with his wife, Vanessa, when he risked his safety to save the life of the injured youngster.
 

Mr Harridge was in a speedboat near Nerja with his uncle and aunt Stewart and Lynne Antrobus when they saw a power boat which was out of control and going on and off rocks.
 

Mr Harridge, 47, of Church Road, Tiptree, said: “We then saw there was a boy in the water. The water was red. It was like a scene from a horror film."
