Burnham: Parents proud of their fire hero sons
The parents of two youngsters who averted a major blaze in Burnham are immensely proud.
Oliver Vallance, nine, of Lilian Road, Burnham, and Finley Smyth, 10, of Albert Road, spotted the fire as they were walking to Riverside Park on the morning of August 4.
They immediately dialled 999 and waited for the fire brigade to arrive.
St Mary’s Primary School pupil Oliver said he knew instantly what to do and wasn’t nervous at all.
He said: “I was worried that the houses would catch fire with people inside."
