Concerned Maldon residents have come out in force to voice their views on the council’s plan to bring 3,000 new homes to the area.

Hundreds of people have turned up to Maldon District Council ’s consultation events over the last month to discuss the planned housing growth.

Council planning officers have been meeting residents in libraries, shopping centres and village halls across the district since July 12 to answer questions.

Jamie Simpson, planning policy officer for Maldon District Council, said: “It’s going very well, we’ve had lots of people come and speak to us to find out about the Local Development Plan.
