Maldon: Horror crash victim's relief as driver is sent to jail Maldon: Horror crash victim's relief as driver is sent to jail

A seriously injured Maldon woman spoke of her relief as the two men who were involved in a horror crash which followed a police chase were sent to prison last week.

Jason Young, 21, and Tyrell O’Donnell, 20, were sentenced to over two years in prison after they left Jackie Stretton with a broken back and bleeding to the brain in the four-car crash in Danbury.

Jackie, 25, of Johnston Way, sat in court on her own to hear their sentences.

She said afterwards: “This was the best possible outcome that could have come from today.

“I am just so relieved they are in prison, it makes a difference for someone else in the future."
