Maldon: Maldon lad bags top role in new TV comedy with Gavin and Stacey star

A Maldon lad has bagged himself a top role in a new BBC comedy series with funny man Jack Whitehall.
Ethan Lawrence, 19, of Butt Lane, will be starring in Bad Education alongside Mr Whitehall and Matt Horne, from Gavin and Stacey, due to air on BBC3 on Tuesday.
The former Plume School pupil, who is studying Drama and Creative Writing at the Royal Holloway University of London, was called in for an audition after the producers saw his credentials on a casting services website.
He said: “I was totally shocked, it came completely out of the blue."
