Burnham: Busy day for RNLI after three call vessels in trouble
Three calls were made to the coastguard after vessels ran into trouble in and near the River Crouch.
On Sunday, the Thames Coastguard received a call at 9am on a VHF radio from the yacht Christina, which had two people on board and had suffered engine failure at the entrance of the River
Crouch.
Nearly three hours later at 11.51am, the coastguard received a second call with reports from Essex Marina that a 25ft speed boat, Stormforce, had suffered engine failure and gone aground on the
River Roach.
Shortly before 1.30pm, the coastguard received a call from the yacht David B with two persons onboard which had gone aground on the Foulness sands in the outer approaches to the River Crouch.
