Maldon: Colchester concert being held in aid of brave Izzy

Stars from some of the UK’s best-known TV talent shows will take to the stage this weekend to help raise money for a Maldon schoolgirl.
Acts including former Britain’s Got Talent contestants Ronan Parke, Jai McDowall and Molly Rainford, and X Factor’s 2Shoes, will perform in tomorrow's Music and Miracles concert at Charter Hall at Colchester Leisure World.
The concert is the latest fundraising event organised by the family of Izzy Kuta, of Fitches Crescent, Maldon, who has cerebral palsy and is due to have potentially life-changing surgery later this year.
Izzy, five, was diagnosed with the condition after complications at birth and suffers from mobility problems as a result.
In an effort to help the All Saints’ Primary School pupil realise her dream of being a dancer and, more immediately, walk unaided, her family, spearheaded by aunt, Shirley Hume, launched the Friends of Izzy fundraising group last year.
Other acts due to perform at tomorrow's concert include former Eurovision song contest entrant Josh Dubovie, Alexa Goddard, Mike Hough, London Road and a number of local acts.
Tickets for the concert, which will take place from 4pm to 8pm, are available from the Charter Hall box office or by calling Ms Hume on 01245 469730.
