A FAMILY are waiting to hear whether anyone was to blame for the death of their son in a road crash.

Charlie Punter, 25, of Vicarage Court, Colchester, was killed on Kelvedon Road between Tiptree and Inworth.

A 28-year-old woman from Colchester was arrested at the time of the incident on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

But seven months have now passed since his death on December 12 last year and there has still not been a decision whether to charge or release the suspect from her bail.

A spokesman for Essex Police said a file was sent to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) in May and officers are waiting for a response.

However the CPS claim the file was incomplete and more information is required.
