Southminster: A new charity shop comes to town
11:00am Monday 16th July 2012 in News By Emma Robinson
A new charity shop has opened in Southminster’s High Street.
Councillor Brian Beale, chairman of Southminster Parish Council, officially opened the Farleigh Hospice shop on Monday.
The new shop will be open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm and will stock clothes, books, homeware, toys and bric-a-brac.
Shop manager, Zoe Dyerson, said: “In today’s climate we are aware that everybody loves the opportunity to grab a good quality bargain and our new Southminster shop will enable local people to do just that, whilst at the same time helping to raise money which makes a real difference to local families affected by life limiting illnesses.”
The shop team are still looking for volunteers.
