Southminster: TV crew comes to town

A Channel Four film crew visited the Dengie this week to film the council’s work on bringing empty houses back to use.

TV presenter George Clark, who is famous for presenting Restoration Man, visited properties in Southminster as part of a new series of the Great British Property Scandal which will be broadcast later in the year.

Cllr Mrs Brenda Harker, chairman of the council’s community services committee, said: “The Council was selected as an example of good practice for the work it has been doing in partnership with Colne Housing Society in helping owners bring their properties back into use."
