Latchingdon: Maldon man dies in road crash.
A MALDON man has died in a road crash in Latchingdon yesterday.
Michael Marshall, in his 60s, of Fambridge Road, was riding a blue Honda CBR motorbike on Burnham Road when he was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Corsa just after midday.
He was certified dead at the scene.
An 18-year-old man from the Maldon area was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.
He was taken to police station in mid-Essex and questioned. He has now been released on bail.
A section of the road was closed for about four hours while forensic collision investigators carried out their enquiries at the scene.
Anyone with information in connection with this road crash is urged to contact investigating officers at Essex Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
