The kittens are being looked after at Avon House.
A Maldon veterinary practice has received some unexpected guests.
Avon House Veterinary Surgery is appealing for the owners of a homeless cat and her five kittens to come forward after the four-legged family were discovered by a dog walker on a footpath in Heybridge Approach.
A member of the public, who was surprised to come across the silver grey tabby and her three-week-old kittens, took them to the Spital Road vets on Friday, June 8.
