Peeing in public could fetch a £500 fine

BEING caught short in public can now earn you a £500 fine in Maldon.
Maldon District Council introduced a by-law this week to help police deal with people urinating in the street.
The new powers were ratified at a meeting of the council last night allowing police to fine offenders up to £500.
