SUNSHINE welcomed the hundreds of people who turned out to watch Maldon’s carnival procession.
Floats, dancers and singers all entertained the crowds as the parade made its way through the town on Saturday.
A week of events led up to the culmination of this year’s carnival.
The procession began on Cross Road at 2.15pm and saw those taking part sticking to the theme of New Beginnings.
Groups such as Maldon Rugby Club, the Dengie Stroke Awareness Group, and Maldon Big Sing all had their own floats.
They were also joined by this year’s carnival court.
The procession was the second since the carnival was saved last year.
