TEENAGE volunteers from the National Citizen Service visited a Heybridge are home.
A team of two adults and 11 youngsters aged 16 and 17 visited Firstlings Residential Home in The Street, Heybridge throughout last week.
The team spent their time in the home's grounds to garden, paint the fences, and redesign some of the outdoor areas.
As well as the hard graft, the volunteers also spent a lot of time with the home's residents, reading and making conversation, with some pampering such as painting nails and holding a tea party for them.
The National Citizen Service helps young people develop confidence, self awareness and responsibility, encouraging personal and social development through taking part in social action projects and build skills for later life.
