A STREET dance group in Burnham is celebrating after a 100 per cent pass rate in their first ever exams.

Epic Dance, based at Trackside Gym, Station Approach, comprises dancers aged from nine to their twenties.

In April, the troupe took their first ever set of street dance exams from the United Dance Organisation (UDO), with some senior students taking two exams within one day.

All of the dancers passed every exam, and now they are working towards their next set in a couple of months’ time.

Additionally, over the weekend the troupe travelled to Reading for a huge UDO competition after training for three months.

The senior team, “Tarantism” consisting of ten to 15 year olds, managed to qualify for the UDO six nations final in Wales in November, as well as the UDO European Championships in the Netherlands in May next year.

Dance Manager Carlie Boler said: “We are so proud of every one of them and cannot wait for our next set of exams in a couple of months which they are all already working hard for.

“We had a large group go to the competition as well as our brand new junior team, who unfortunately didn’t place in the final, but still did amazing.

“Well done to everyone, your hard work pays off so well.”
