A YACHT club held an open day in Maldon over the bank holiday.
Maldon Yacht Club held their annual open day on Monday at their club near the River Blackwater.
The club was formed in 1949 as one of the smallest clubs on the river, and encourages both dinghy sailing and kayaking, with members ranging from nine to 90 years old.
The open day ran from 11am to 4pm with taster sailing session on the river.
There was also a tombola and a raffle.
The day was part of the Royal Yachting Association’s May incentive called “Push the Boat Out” to encourage people to try sailing.
