A MAN was arrested after a crash saw a car flipped onto its roof.

Essex Police were called by the ambulance service who discovered the car on its roof on Main Road in Mundon.

A police spokesman said: "We have arrested a man on suspicion of drink driving following a collision in Main Road, Mundon, at around 12.35am this morning.

"We received a call from the ambulance service after they found a vehicle on its roof.

"We located the driver shortly afterwards and he was taken to hospital as a precaution after complaining of chest pains.

"The 23-year-old man from Heybridge has since been transferred to custody and has been released under investigation."
