VOLUNTEERS from the Maldon in Bloom team came out to contribute to National Gardening Week.
National Gardening Week was launched seven years ago by the Royal Horticultural Society, and aims to become the country’s biggest celebration of gardening.
Thousands of people, gardens, charities, retailers, culture and heritage organisations and groups have got involved over the years.
The team from Maldon in Bloom were busy throughout all of last week, including attending the launch of their own competition at the town hall, scattering wild flower seeds at the new wildflower meadow at the Friary Playschool, and distributing various plants left over from the Maldon Rotary Club's plant sale at different sites around the town.
