A LEGENDARY comedian from Essex will be performing in Burnham this Saturday.

Jimmy ‘The Guv’nor’ Jones will be at the Burnham Ramblers FC on Springfield Road.

Jimmy will be supported by vocalist act Tina Williams and music from DJ Dan.

The legendary comedian celebrated his 80th birthday in February and is still touring.

With more than 56 years in show business, The Guv’nor continues to be one of the UK’s best loved and most successful stand-up comedians.

The Essex boy got his first taste of showbiz aged just 11 when he won the Carol Lewis Discoveries Show and the original radio version of Opportunity Knocks.

He has done shows worldwide and been on the TV series The Comedians, followed by regular spots on Battle of the Comics, The Freddie Star Show, The Chas and Dave Show and Six O’Clock Live.

In 1991 Jimmy achieved a life-long ambition by playing a sell-out one man show at the London Palladium.

His risqué adult humour has made him a cult classic, selling thousands of videos and DVDs.

He is also cited as the main influence comedians like Jim Davidson and Roy Chubby Brown.

The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £20.

Tickets can be purchased from DJ Dan by emailing Dan-85@hotmail.co.uk or calling 07568 075497.
