A football club is asking for information after they found footage of their pitches being vandalised.

According to the South Woodham Ferrers United FC, the incident took place on Saturday, April 7 at around 3pm.

The club launched an appeal for information over Facebook. Photos and a video were posted online of two men on motorbikes were riding their vehicles over the football grounds.

The Facebook post said: “As if isn’t hard enough trying to keep our pitches playable for everyone during this wet weather, we now have to contend with these idiots on motocross bikes churning up our pitches at SWFU.

“We spend thousands of pounds at Saltcoats and Compass Gardens every season to try and keep the pitches as nice as possible.

“If this jogs anyone’s memory of who these people are, please do not name and shame.

“It’s clear these guys don’t have a care in the world for anyone’s safety or have any respect for the users of the park but it’s not for us to be judge and jury.
